Established in 2002, family-owned Cliff Lede Vineyards comprises sixty acres in the northernmost end of the Stags Leap District. Cliff Lede has successfully combined estate vineyards, winemaking, art, architecture, and music to become one of the Napa Valley’s most modern and diversified estates. A visit to Cliff Lede is a trip through the history of music as Lede decided to name each vineyard block after his favorite rock songs and albums – from “My Generation” to “Dark Side of the Moon.” Our Tasting Bar is open daily from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Been twice now and really enjoyed both visits. The patio is definitely a prime spot to enjoy a nice, warm Napa day! If you are a classic music fan, the tasting room is full of cool memorabilia, and the vineyards are all named after classic rock hits (Dark Side of the Moon, Magic Carpet Ride, etc.). The basic tasting flight is well-priced at $35, and the wines are all very good. The one big drawback for me, however, was the bottle prices – totally personal preference here, but felt that the Claret was really the only good value… again, though, personal preference here, and I think it also may just be a result of being Stags Leap Cabs…

“He just spends his life living in a rock ‘n’ roll fantasy”…and unlike the great Kinks song, he added wine to the portfolio. A visit to Cliff Lede is like a rock and roll tribute as the vineyards are named after classic rock songs. If you are a lover of wine and rock music and if your budget permits, schedule a session in Cliff Lede’s music room. There are a number of classic guitars and art work done by notables in the Rock world (Grace Slick, Ronnie Wood, etc). You will have your visit curated by one of the outstanding staff people and it will be a memorable experience. I liked it so much that I have signed up to go again next week. Oh, did I mention that the wines are very good?
