COVID-19 Update: Parties will be limited to a maximum of 6 guests. A limited number of appointments for our Estate Tasting will be offered per day to allow for proper social distancing of 6 feet and to provide enough time between appointments to effectively sanitize the tasting area. Tours are not available at this time. Guests will be hosted outdoors, weather permitting. If tastings are hosted indoors, parties will be hosted in separate spaces to allow for social distancing, and ventilation will be increased by leaving doors open. All visitors to the winery must wear face coverings (Guests will be allowed to remove their face coverings only while seated at the table for their tasting).
Groth Winery is medium sized winery, located in the heart of the famed Oakville district and was founded in 1982 by Dennis Groth. Due to its unique salmon color, it is one of Napa’s most easily recognizable wineries. Groth specializes in estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon – and based on its excellent reputation for these red wines, some people are not even aware that it does produce white wines. Its claim to fame, though, is that Groth was the first American Winery awarded 100 points by Robert Parker for its 1985 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.
